Yeah, it's been a while since I've uploaded anything, amirite?
So let's drop the pretense that I've been trying to hold out here for the past year.
I'll keep it short, since I'm sure it's a busy time for everyone right now:
I'm going on an official hiatus, to end who-knows-when. Possibly never as far as dA is concerned, unfortunately. These recent site changes haven't been particularly to my liking.
I still love art just as much as I used to, but it's long been a battle between my love for art, and my love for programming and coding; after all, I discovered both at the same time in 6th grade, and I've passionately tried to pursue both hobbies ever since.
However, with college courses getting more difficult than ever, and taking into consideration the greater benefits that fully immersing myself in the coding world would really bring (I am a Computer Science major, after all), I think it's finally time to move on and pick a side.
One could argue the two hobbies are not mutually exclusive, but I've always been terrible at multitasking, as many of you ought to know.
It's my ultimate goal to combine beautiful design and art with coding, but I've gotta master the bases first, which means it's time to get serious here.
I'll come back to you, one day. Maybe not on the same site, but I will come back.
But for now, I need to chase after my dream of becoming a true dev.
It's been great meeting all these fellow artist-friends and sharing whatever wondrous adventures have come of it, and I wish you all the best of luck in your future endeavors.
If anyone around wants to keep in touch, I'll still be lurking the site.
Better yet, add me on Skype, since I'm on there pretty much 24/7. Message me for it, if you're interested.
I'll see you in the country,
Dev

Terrible boring story time with Dev
Seriously, what do people typically use deviantART journals for?
Because I'm dying of a fever and probably ranting nonsensically about everything possible at the moment, it is, of course, the ideal moment to regale my silent watchers with the story of The Second. (The best stories only occur when one is only half-coherent, of course.)
The First, indubitably, had merits in her own right, by virtue of being the first, but the ending of that particular story has yet to arrive.
And so: the story of the second friend I ever made on the entirety of the Internet.
I knew absolutely nothing about The Second, nor do I to this day; I never knew how o
Onwards, then.
My New Year's Eve/Day was, largely, spent at some distantly remembered stranger's house slouching in a corner and whispering at young children to close their legs and stop showing off their undergarments.
In other words, a typically dull end to a - despite personal expectations - rather fascinating year. Least the food was appetizing.

As always, I dislike talking about myself, so here's a shout-out to some of the most delicious people I know:
~Oppastyle (https://www.deviantart.com/oppastyle) : I am alarmingly concerned at the fact that the first person that comes to mind whenever you see a picture of a half-naked guy is me. I will, er, attempt to improve my imag

It looks like you left around the same time I did. This whole situation makes my heart really sad to read. I always really loved and admired your work. I still had a message in my inbox where we were starting to set up an art trade years ago, then I just vanished...
You have to make your own life decisions, of course, I'm not here to steer you or anything. I'll just, really miss you and your art. I love it so much. I personally hope you find time and motivation to always continue art, but it's up to you, of course. No one can drive your life but yourself.
So if you ever see this, let me know you are okay?
